RCA Minutes July 20 2009

-Attended by Steph, Nora, Nancy, Betty G, Wilf, Ken and Tracy.

Treasurers report read by Nancy, totals in accounts; $11660.35. Moved to approved by Stephanie, seconded by Tracy.

Previous Business;

-JOP workers coming to work on the Rosswood Community Hall on July 27 as per Robert Zeigler, manager of program. They will buy one sander, three resirator masks and sand paper. RCA will buy one sander, borrow one from Don P., and purchase sand paper and necessary varathane, which was approved by phone vote earlier in the week. Approval by all RCA executives for up to $1000.00 to finish the inside of the hall.

-Grant process; The Gaming Grant cannot be submitted until Oct-Nov and approval not given until Mar 2010. When this is approved, the NDI 30K will be released for expendature.

New Business;

-Insecticide needed to arrest ant damage in corner of hall. Nancy moved to get a quote from an exterminator to remove ants, seconded by Stephanie, all in favor.

-Pancake Breakfasts will possibly on August 22 as the food permit ends then. Nora will decide at that time.

-Rosa sent a link to www.drivebc.com to submit a survey on the Nisga'a Highway for local s to voice their opinion on our road conditions. Stephanie will send out in the Rosswood Newsletter.

-McCormick's asked to borrow Hall chairs for a family event, permission given.

Louise P. also asked to borrow chairs for their open house, permission given.

-Parmenter's Open House on July 26th, 2 pm, will be promoted in Rosswood Newsletter.

-RCA scaffolding was returned by Dennis and Life, all in concession building.

-Get well card will be sent to Gary Lange.

-Flea Market stuff needs to be moved on Saturday, noon, will ask for volunteers in Rosswood Newsletter.

-Stephanie moved to adjourn meeting at 8:07pm, Wilf seconded all approved.
