RCA Minutes June 15 2009

-Attendance; Nora, Nancy, Stephanie, Louise P., Ken and Clark.

-Meeting convened 7:10 pm by Nora, RCA President.

-Previous minutes read by Stephanie, Ken moved to approve, seconded by Louise P.

-Treasurers report read by Nancy, total in accounts; $10789.98

Discussion was had about how to account for income from Pancake Breakfasts. Ken suggested we combine the pancake breakfasts with the garage sale. Nancy suggested we separate out the garage sale.

Moved to approve Treasurer's Report by Stephanie, seconded by Clark.

Previous Business:

-Re; Hall restoration, NDI grant for $30,000.00 was approved, depending on Gaming Grant monies. As soon as written approval from Gaming Grant happens, NDI will release the 30K.

Discussion was had about monies needed for interior stain for hall, to be used by JOPs workers, approximately $700.

More discussion was had about prioritizing how the money will be spent, hall restoration or roof. Generally agreed roof is more of a priority.

-RCA will be meeting with JOPs manager, Robert Zeigler on Thurs 9am to go over work wish list.

-Re; RCA to buy kitchen equipment (griddles and deep fryers) worth $211.61, which Nora paid for personally. Stephanie proposed RCA pay for equipment. Seconded by Louise. All approved.

New Business:

-Re; May's Birthday celebration July 5th, Stephanie will contact Betty Geier for confirmation and promote in Rosswood Newsletter. Steph will also confirm Wilf Jr.'s wedding reception on July 4th.

-Northern Health will be collecting a water sample on June 16th.

-Discussion was had about how to clean the iron out of the Hall's water. “Iron-out” is one option or replace material in backwash system possible.

Louise moved that we buy the backwash material for our backwash system, seconded by Stephanie, all approved.

-Stephanie moved to adjourn meeting at 8:34pm, seconded by Ken.
