Meeting minutes - Oct 18 2010

Attendance: Nora, Nancy, Stephanie, Betty G, Owen F, Mary, Ken, Bjorn, Conan, John N, Dave, Christine, Clark.

Meeting convened by Nora at 7:05pm.

Previous minutes read by Stephanie, Nancy motioned to aprove, seconded by Mary, all approved.

Treasurers report read by Nancy, totals in account;$10,909.69 Ken moved to approved, seconded by Clark, all approved.

Previous Business;

Gary McAvoy finished above the counter area, to seal off the kitchen, for food safe. He also continued with the weather stripping of the main doors.

New Business;

-RCA's term deposit is coming due, $7368.46. Nancy will shop around to find better rate.

-RCA acknowledged the local and Terrace (Terrace Christian Reform Church) in terracedaily.ca. Thank you all so much!

-Re: Wind Storm damage of campground.

Land Parks and Environment; ILM; Integrated Land Management Bureau technically owns the land. If we want to keep the wood, we don't need a permit, but if we're going to sell the wood we need a salvage license and pay stump fees if the firewood is sold off site.

We have a 99 year lease from them for $1.00 and we pay the parcel taxes.

The wood is mostly good for firewood.

We need contact whoever is in charge of Small Scale Licenses to help find financing or contact Ministry of Forests to see what monies they have.

Main office in Smithers, Nora and Stephanie will start making noise with authorities to find funding to clean up the campground.

-We need signage around the campground warning the campground is a danger area, or caution tape. Betty motioned we buy caution tape to surround the campground, seconded by Bjorn, all approved.

-Christmas Potluck set for Dec 11, 5 pm. Harreson will do turkeys, Owen's father already volunteered to be Santa.

-Nancy brought up Hall rental fees for winter as heat and plow costs go up in the winter. Nancy proposed we add a $30.00 to the daily winter rental fee, seconded by Betty G., all approved.

-Clark motioned to adjourn meeting, seconded by Stephanie, all approved.
